What wind testing do Fenetex One-Track™ screens have?
Fenetex One-Track™ insect and shade screens are tested up to 100 mph. One-Track™ clear screens carry no wind claim. One-Track™ is not hurricane protection. For hurricane protection, ask about MaxForce™, tested and certified for the 185 mph wind zone and approved for use in Miami-Dade County and the HVHZ under Florida Product Approval FL8637-R15. Okaloosa, Walton, and Santa Rosa counties have coastal wind-load requirements, which we assess at your estimate.
How large an opening can a retractable screen cover?
A single Fenetex screen covers openings up to garage-door scale — typically 16–18 feet wide depending on fabric and motor configuration. Larger openings are covered with multiple screens sharing a center post, with minimal visible seam when deployed. We measure your specific opening during the on-site estimate and confirm exactly what's achievable before you commit to anything.
Can retractable screens integrate with a smart-home system?
Yes. Fenetex screens support remote control, wall switch, and smart-home integration through compatible home automation platforms. We configure the remote programming during installation and can set up automation triggers — screens deploy at sunset, retract at sunrise, deploy automatically if wind sensors detect a threshold, and so on. We confirm smart-home compatibility during the estimate based on your existing system.
What warranty comes with a Fenetex retractable screen?
Fenetex offers a lifetime warranty on the screen fabric and a manufacturer's warranty on motor and housing components. Specific terms vary by fabric and motor configuration selected. We walk through warranty documentation during the estimate and hand it off in writing at installation completion. The lifetime fabric warranty covers manufacturing defects, UV degradation, and the edge-seal system.
