Happy Labor Day, From the Crew Building Your Backyard

No checklist today. No comparison, no quote request, nothing to measure or schedule. This is the fourth and last post in our Labor Day series, and it's just a thank you — from us, not a campaign.

If you've read the other three —why two weeks out matters, which structure fits your yard, and the 30-minute clean-up— thank you for that too. But today isn't about any of it.

To everyone we've had the chance to build for — in Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Niceville, Crestview, Navarre, Santa Rosa Beach, Freeport, Gulf Breeze, and Panama City Beach, and everywhere in between across Okaloosa, Walton, Santa Rosa, and the parts of Bay and Escambia we reach — thank you. You let us into your backyards, your Saturday mornings, your kids' pool parties, your quiet evening coffee. That's not a small thing to be trusted with, and we don't treat it like one.

Eric started this company because he was tired of watching bigger contractors treat customers like a number on a schedule. That's still the whole philosophy: the crew that measures your property is the crew that designs it, and the crew that designs it is the crew that builds it. No handoffs, no subcontractors, no disappearing after the permit's pulled. If you've worked with us, you've worked with the actual people who did the work — Jennifer, Natasha, Eric, and the crew behind them, several of whom wore a uniform for this country before they picked up a drill for us.

That crew is why this company exists at all. Every stamped drawing, every permit pulled, every property measured in the middle of a Panhandle summer — that's them, not us alone. Today, more than any other day this year, we're grateful for the people who show up and do that work right, every single time, whether or not anyone's watching.

So today, we hope you're doing exactly what we build these structures for — sitting outside, bug-free, comfortable, with people you're glad to see. That's the whole point. Not the structure. What happens under it.

Happy Labor Day.

— Eric & Jennifer, and the whole ABS crew

Aluminum Building Systems

Aluminum Building Systems has designed, engineered, and built custom aluminum outdoor structures across Northwest Florida since 1996. The company is family-operated and veteran-staffed, and runs one in-house crew from design through final walk-through — no subcontractors. Every structure is site-engineered and stamped to the property's exact wind zone, then permitted and inspected to meet or exceed the Florida Building Code. ABS builds eight product lines — Infinity View enclosures, pool enclosures, screen and sun rooms, patio covers and carports, pergolas, aluminum fence and rail, retractable screens, and motorized hurricane screens — across Okaloosa, Walton, Santa Rosa, and Bay counties. Content published under this byline is written by the Aluminum Building Systems content team from the company's engineering standards, permit records, and completed project files.
